When I was only 20 years old, I suffered from debilitating on and off sharp, stabbing low back pain. It would come on all of a sudden from things like picking up my tennis shoe, towel or backpack, and once it “went out” it took 5-7 days just to feel tolerable again only to happen again 3-4 weeks later. Over and over and over it went causing my entire life to slowly change. I became fearful of injury so I stopped doing life, which made me grumpy and stressed, finding it hard to concentrate or be productive...basically my life sucked because of my stupid back.
