30 day challenge- attitude of gratitude

It’s June 1st, and I am equal parts super pumped about today and dead tired.

Why?!

…I had the hardest time falling asleep last night due to rolling around dreaming about life and planning out the next few months, and once I DID fall asleep, apparently Bennett was pretty stoked for today too because he woke up three different times last night (first time in many months).

Today marks Day 1 of a fitness challenge that Nick and I are doing; Day 1 of a fitness challenge I am coaching, AND Day 1 of a challenge I am about to impart on YOU!

For the two weeks now, before I go to bed, I have been writing 10 things that I am grateful for from my day in my journal.

Here is why the number 10 is real important…

1 is too easy, 3 may be too easy… but 10, ah 10, it stretches you and creates a need to actually mentally comb through your day to search for things to be grateful for.

30 Day Health Challenge

Why is that important?

There are so many amazing things that happen each day that we COMPLETELY FORGET ABOUT!! Intentionally combing through our day, we end our day with gratitude in our heart and sweet memories of the last 24 hours fresh in our mind.

Some days I am brimming with so much gratitude that I write 20 things…other days I am grasping at straws to come up with my 10 and end up being thankful for air in my lungs…but isn’t air in our lungs amazing?!

So for the next 30 days I challenge you to write 10 things each night that you are grateful for…I challenge you to stick with me…I challenge you to pull that journal out even if you’re dead tired. It’ll take you two minutes, and you won’t regret doing it ever.

Let’s see how our mind can transform in the next 30 days just by adding this one single habit to our day!!

****If you need additional resources to feel motivated for this challenge, I love the book “1000 gifts” by Anne Voscamp; and feel free to re-watch our video that we made last year on gratitude.****

In gratitude,

Jen
